Insulation questions
How much insulation do I need?
Many homes in the Los Angeles area are upgraded to around R-38 in the attic. We'll recommend a level based on your home and current energy code.
Should old insulation be removed?
If it's compressed, wet, moldy or contaminated by rodents, yes. Otherwise new insulation can often go on top.
How long does it take?
Most attic insulation jobs take one day. Removal adds another day.
Will it lower my bills?
Better insulation and air sealing reduce how hard your AC works in summer. Results depend on your home.
